We assume you have already created a user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click on the user name “user1” as below:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n

Select the appropriate System roles<\/strong> for the user. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n

Select the appropriate Functional roles<\/strong> for the user. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
For full access to the platform, do select:\n
\n
Production API user<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Data Analyst<\/li>\n\n\n\n
All Annotation components<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Don’t forget to save!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n

When assigning roles to users a few key principles must be kept in mind that we try to outline here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roles need to be assigned to users. Roles are not assigned to projects or user groups. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
Users can be members of one and only one group – therefore it is not foreseen to be, say, a power users on project A but a default user on project B. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
However, there is a workaround: A project can be shared with a power user in “read-only” mode. Then this users, although they normally have more advanced permissions, will only be able read in this project A that has been shared with them. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
