{"id":293,"date":"2022-05-05T13:51:14","date_gmt":"2022-05-05T11:51:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kairntech.com\/doc\/?p=293"},"modified":"2025-07-29T16:48:57","modified_gmt":"2025-07-29T14:48:57","slug":"how-to-annotate-categories-manually","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kairntech.com\/doc\/how-to-annotate-categories-manually\/","title":{"rendered":"How to annotate categories manually?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Unless you have imported documents with annotations in json format, your documents will at the beginning not contain any annotations (the information you want to model to learn). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So these annotations will have to be added now by hand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will spend a fair amount of the effort in your project here and the software supports you doing this as quickly and effortless as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Since a document category is a property of the complete document, these annotations happen at&nbsp;<strong>document level<\/strong>, not segment level<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is possible to configure project with <strong>single <\/strong>(exclusive) or <strong>multiple <\/strong>categories. It means that a document may only belongs to one category in the first case while it may belong to several categories in the second case.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For activate the exclusive, go to the <em>Labels <\/em>view.
